Traveling recount…
So the trip was good…
It was a lot of fun though. I got to meet some cousins that I’ve never met, and my grandma was really happy that everyone was there. She even got to meet her great-grandbaby (my sister’s kiddo) which was really nice for them, because they (my grandparents) were worried that they’d never get to meet her. So that was really nice.
But some things I’ve learned traveling with my family…
1. Someone’s sister thinks that her baby is the star of the show, even though there were 20 grandchildren there, and it was someone else’s 80th birthday. In her mind, her baby was the whole reason that the family got together. Mind you, she is the only great-grandchild, and she is the first grandchild for my parents as well, so I suppose I’ll cut her a little bit of slack.
2. Someone’s mom cannot keep a secret as now most of the entire famly knows about another sister’s major secret.
3. Someone’s sister has a major secret. But until it’s public family knowledge, someone can’t share it with all of you. You never know who’s going to be reading this site.
But overall, it was a great weekend. Heck, the island is a beautiful place, and when you leave here and it’s snowing and blowing, and you get there and it’s still green, I’m okay with that in November.
